Awards
The Van Deusen Construction Company has received numerous awards from the Home Builders Association of Maryland (HBAM) for the design and renovation of residential and light commercial properties. Most recently, Van Deusen Construction was awarded the prestigious Chrysalis Award for Remodeler of the Year, 2008 for the Northeast region. Awarded by a panel of judges from Southern Living and Better Homes and Gardens Magazines, the award is based upon a builder's past body of work and involvement in the community. In 2007, Van Deusen received first place from the HBAM Remodeler's Council for its 2007 Award of Excellence. The Maryland Improvement Contractors Association recognized the firm with three awards for various projects in 2007, including Best Residential Addition and Best Entire House Remodeling.
In 2008, Jay Van Deusen was awarded the title of GuildMaster by GuildQuality, Inc. and his work and business practices are features on their website. GuildMaster award winners are chosen by their ability to consistently demonstrate exceptional customer service.
In 1999, The Van Deusen Construction Company was named "Remodeler of the Year" by the Home Builders Association of Maryland. In addition, the firm was chosen as one of Remodeling Magazine's "Big 50" remodeling firms across the United States in 1998.
